to Encourage, Equip, Empower and Engage in God’s work of justice in our broken world.
Step4Justice Oct. 19th, 2024
Would you like to make a difference in the fight against human trafficking? We will walk as a team at 9AM on the morning of October 19th. We'll meet at church and walk/pray right in our own community. We will raise awareness, prayer and funds as a church to combat human trafficking, and financial goal is to raise $5000 or more for the work of anti-trafficking here and around the world.
40% of the funds we raise at Faith Community will be used for the local work of human trafficking in Rock County and 60% for Bridges4Justice global work. Global funds will be used for training programs that decrease the vulnerability of women who live in deeply impoverished source areas of human trafficking. Traffickers there lure women and girls away with deceptive promises of a marriage or a job, but they end up trafficked in urban red light districts. Through the year-long Bridges4Justice wholistic training programs, vulnerability is decreased as women develop income earning skills, grow in self confidence, learn principles to stay healthy, and most importantly, learn that because of God’s love, they can have hope for a new life. The programs are not possible without partnership of God’s people.
We encourage as many as possible to come out to walk and pray together in the fight against human trafficking. Every participant will receive a prayer tool to use before, during and after Step4Justice because human trafficking is a spiritual battle. In the words of a Step4Justice participant last year – We walk, we pray, and we give because we KNOW Bridges4Justice works to prevent trafficking, restore trafficked victims, and teach the truth that God has made a way for all to be free.
We invite you to take up the challenge to prevent human trafficking by registering to participate in Step4Justice this year. Just click on the button below and get signed up (no cost to participate).
We also invite you to join in the fight against human trafficking by giving to sponsor our Faith Community Step4Justice team (remember, our goal is to raise $5,000 or more). If giving cash or checks (made out to Faith Community Church), please be sure to put it in an envelope that is clearly marked with "Step4Justice" and turn it in to the church office, or the offering boxes in the sanctuary. If giving online, please go to the church giving page and click on the drop down arrow to select "Step4Justice."
