Cross Training
for Life

Over 7 years in the making, Cross Training is a series of foundational classes aimed at giving any believer the teaching and tools necessary for a lifetime of growing faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  There are four 10-week classes in the Cross Training program.  A certificate of completion is given at the successful completion of each class and a diploma is given during a Sunday service to graduates who complete the entire series!

The four classes include:

These classes have been a great asset to our church for several years, but now we feel it is appropriate to take some time off to offer some other classes!  You may still watch these classes on VHS, or listen to the audio lessons below.

This is something that every believer needs and will benefit from and will set you on a steady course for a lifetime of growing in your active faith and love for the Lord.

"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize."

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 NIV

Course Expectations and Policies:

  • In order to get your Certificate of Completion of each 10-week class, you'll need to attend class and/or watch the class video and complete the homework for 8 of the 10 sessions.
  • In order to get your CrossTraining Diploma you will need to get a Certificate of Completion for all four CrossTraining classes, which completes the course. These can be done in any order and there is no time limit.
  • You do not have pursue a certificate or diploma in order to take a class, but if there is a waiting list for the class, certificate/diploma pursuers get priority.
  • Members of a class get first crack at signing up for the next class. This will begin by week 8 or 9 of the class.  Sign-up forms for the whole church body will be at the welcome center.
  • Attending this class must not be in place of church attendance. Church attendance is a key part of the body-life of Faith Community Church, including:  God's Word addressed to our congregation, corporate worship, communion, giving, and sharing the vision of all-church and inter-church events.  If you have to choose between church services and this class, you need to choose church.
